Peter Fenner knows innovation. A founder of Compass Clinical Consulting in 1979, he has over four decades of professional leadership experience focusing on organizational effectiveness within healthcare, educational, corporate, and community environments. Peter’s scientific and academic background equips him with keen logic, which he applies to the art of business to develop cutting-edge solution strategies. As Chief Financial Officer for Compass, he continuously seeks new ways to meet the needs of the healthcare industry.

Trained as a geologist, Peter has been a National Science Foundation-funded national project director and researcher, officer of several national professional societies, and first a new university start-up dean, then a university vice-chancellor for academic affairs within the Purdue University system. Peter’s passion for helping individuals and organizations improve their communication, efficiency, effectiveness, and ability to give back to their communities has not only fostered his own growth, but has helped him glide through decades of experience in the academe – as a professor, a researcher, and an administrator.

In his early work with Compass, Peter served as lead consultant on a variety of projects involving communication and computer systems, strategic planning, and management development initiatives. In recent years, he has turned his skills inward to help Compass respond to the current issues facing healthcare leaders.
