We are pleased to welcome Lena Browning MHA, BSN, RNC-NIC, CSHA, to Compass Clinical Consulting. As part of the accreditation and regulatory compliance mock survey team, she will focus on helping client organizations prepare for survey by the Joint Commission or the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, toward the goal of safe, quality patient care.
Lena is a nurse leader and accreditation specialist and has more than a decade of experience in clinical leadership in acute care settings. Previously, Lena was a Clinical Program Specialist, Accreditation at Owensboro Health, where she coordinated accreditation and regulatory surveys and coached staff in effective compliance and performance improvement strategies with a focus on continuous readiness and patient safety. Lena also held former roles of Accreditation Coordinator at Baptist Health Madisonville, where she led the organization through successful survey, and Nurse Practice Quality Council Chair, where she brought issues to council for performance improvement and communicated council discussions to nursing directors and leadership.
Lena is a Certified Specialist in Healthcare Accreditation, a Registered Nurse Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care, and is certified in pediatric and neonatal advanced life support. She is also a member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
