Victoria Fennel, PhD, RN-BC, CPHQ, Director of Accreditation and Clinical Compliance, Compass Clinical Consulting, will be presenting a webinar titled, “Accreditation Organizations: What are the Options for Hospitals?” for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Nutrition Branch on December 14, 2016.
Victoria’s webinar will highlight the major features that distinguish the four primary hospital accrediting organizations The Joint Commission [TJC], Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program [HFAP], Det Norske Veritas Healthcare [DNV GL] and the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality [CIHQ] and offer tips for healthcare leaders on criteria to consider when choosing an external accreditation agency. Additionally, the pros and cons of not choosing not to pursue voluntary accreditation will also be discussed.
